Stimson Middle School has recently completed their annual curriculum fair and lots of changes were evident from the onset. The 2015 National History Day Curriculum Fair was an overwhelming success, with all students participating in both the seventh and eighth grade. Stimson is such a natural pipeline for talented students to focus and hone their interests as they prepare for the cornucopia of offerings at Whitman, but what we saw this year was that all students were exploring the STEM rich curriculum offerings and instead of filling a pail, we may have sparked a fire, as the quality of projects were impressive.“The Henry L. Stimson Middle School 2015 STEM and National History Day Curriculum Fair was nothing short of spectacular,” said Stimson Principal Edwin W. Smith. “The projects focused on aeronautics, video and website design, scientific research, and historical documentaries. The building was packed with staff, students, parents and community members, helping to make this event one to remember. I would like to take this moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of our students. Congratulations to all that participated!”
Deciding the winners was more difficult than ever, and the judges took their time to ensure that every student received a thorough review. While the list below of those chosen for acknowledgement is impressive, those whose names are not mentioned should know that the journey they took researching and creating their projects was recognized and highly regarded for their effort.
