Congratulations to our Stimson History Fair winners, listed below, who participated in the prestigious regional competition at Hofstra University on Sunday, March 8th. These remarkably talented young men and women developed projects detailing the people and events that shaped our planet's history. “It was an honor and privilege to see our students so skillfully representing South Huntington as they progressed through a full day of presentations and judging,” said Superintendent Bennardo in his weekly newsletter. A special congratulations to Dylan and Sean Rehman who took home a 3rd place medal for their presentation on Teddy Roosevelt. “I’m very proud of this group,” said Stimson Social Studies teacher Ms. Karen Schmitt. “It’s going to be interesting to see what they come up with next year.” Individual Exhibit: 3rd-Emily Murphy- The Culper Spy Ring 2nd-Fiona Smyth- Florence Nightingale 1st- Chris Borges- Nelson Mandella Group Exhibit: Carly Manley and Emma Edelman- Walt Disney Mabel Bassi and Hailey Hamilton- Margaret Sanger Andrew Borges and Timothy Rise- Woodrow Wilson Research Papers: Sarah Fink- Eleanor Roosevelt Matthew Tricomi- Nikola Tesla Aidan Noble- Margaret Thatcher Individual Websites: Jake Fullerton- Harry S.
