Ms. Peggy Low, the Arts-in-Education Coordinator at the Huntington Arts Council is please to announce that two South Huntington students were chosen to have their work displayed at theHeckscher Museum of Art as winners in the Annual Town of Huntington Tulip Festival School Art Contest.
Chosen to participate at the 15th Annual School Art Contest were Reyha Mete, a Stimson 8th grader and Rena Shapiro from Silas Wood Sixth-Grade Center. Congratulations to both these fine young artists as well as their art teachersMs. Jenna Kolm and Ms.Maribeth Hickey.
An awards reception at the Heckscher Museum will be held on Friday, May 1st at 5:30 pm. Refreshments are usually served and the public is welcome.
