Yesterday, Thursday September 24th, the girl’s varsity soccer team defeated Connetquot in double overtime by a score of 2-1. Freshman Joie Tortorice opened the scoring on an assist from Rebecca DeWitt. The final goal came in the 2nd overtime when Shelbi Wuss re-directed a cross from Alexa DelColle into the net. The defense of Meagan O'Donnell, Hanna Fink, Camilee Getchell, Alexa DelColle, Meghan Soulias and Angelique Auriemma played solid all game. Goalie Brittany Shaneberger made 16 saves in net including some great saves in overtime. Great game ladies!
