The best high school track and field athletes in the nation converged on New York City this past weekend for the 2015 New Balance National Championships. Boys track coach Rob Conroy is happy to announce that senior speedster Shamar Powell set a new school, and new county record in the 800 meter with a time of 1:52.27.
Shamar’s time placed him 7th in the nation and only twenty-seven one hundredths of a second shy of All-American status. Congratulations Shamar!
